DIRECTIONS

From London and Ashford

Take the M20 to Ashford and come off at Junction 9. Follow the A28 towards Tenterden. Stay on the A28 and once you have gone through High Halden there will be a road to your right taking you onto the A262 towards Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone. Follow the road into Biddenden and then turn left in the village centre still following the A262. Roughly 3 miles out of Biddenden before you arrive in Sissinghurst there is a right hand turn into Sissinghurst Castle. It is clearly signposted.

From Tunbridge Wells

Take the A21 from Tunbridge Wells, turning off onto the A262 at Lamberhurst. Follow the road through Goudhurst and straight over the roundabout into Sissinghurst village. Continue through Sissinghurst and once you have left the village there is a turning to your left into Sissinhurst Castle. It is clearly signposted.

From Tenterden

Follow the A28 out of Tenterden through St Michaels. Leaving St Michaels take the left hand turn on to the A262 towards Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone. Follow the road into Biddenden and then turn left in the village centre still following the A262. Roughly 3 miles out of Biddenden before you arrive in Sissinghurst there is a right hand turn into Sissinghurst Castle. It is clearly signposted.

By Train

The nearest station is Staplehurst, approximately 60 minutes from Charing Cross, and trains run every half hour to London. MTC taxis have a rank at Staplehurst but it is always safer to book. Tel: 01622 890003 or 01580 890003 for taxi reservations.

Disabled Access
